Celebrity Cricket/Comedy League!!!

During my childhood whenever i watch cricket, I used to wonder what the hell people siting in a box wearing coat and tie talking with a weird mic in their hand. I never understood any word they spoke as they keep talking in some accent that was completely alien to me. I used to think that hoe nice it would be if they spoke in Tamizh. As years passed by, I started loving the English commentary more and more.I started developing interest more than that i showed over the game
Last year, it came as a storm to blow my heart away.. The "Celebrity Cricket League". Please for god's sake don't ever think that i love this league or i appreciate this venture. God i have never seen such a cricket in my life. Even my nephew and niece would play good cricket than them ;-). And the commentary!! If god appears before me and asks me if there is any wish that i want him to take back from me. The first thing i would cry out is "Please don't make people, even dream about commentary in tamizh" :-(. There is one highlight sentence which i would like to advertise out here:-).  For saying about pitch map, some great commentator said, "pandu veechalr than pandugalai veithulla idam!!!".  Now i can feel that you start to hate this kind of commentary.
And then comes the most amazing thing in this whole concept!! The heroes who are capable of hitting and killing so many villains who look like they are shown in 200% zoom than their normal size, struggle to run a 22 yard pitch. There were talks that these heroes are more physically fit than cricketers. But even i seem to be fit compared to them :-p. Then comes the most important thing!! Their original looks, without any make-ups. Thanks to the people who came up with an idea for this league. Your true colors are relieved. Now any normal person can try their hand in acting as there is no requirement such as acting skills or smartness. And there is going to be another season of this torture.. Kelambitangayya Kelambitangayya!!! :-(

Scapegoat??

I have a cool friend gang in my college. And in that gang, we used to keep teasing a very nice fellow with a particular name, scapegoat. But only day before yesterday i felt that i was also one of that kind.
I was returning to college from my home on Sunday night in rameswaram express. I was allotted a lower berth after i got my ticket confirmed. I was happy that my fate did not put any extra burden on me making me climb berths. Just imagine, a huge creature climbing berths. I myself get terrified on imagining that, leave out all the difficulties i would face trying to accommodate my overgrown body in such a small space. The moment i thanked my fate for making me devoid of such climbing efforts, the bloody bugger played his trick on me. I set my berth ready and was ready for closing off a tiring day. Suddenly i felt that someone pat my back. I turned around and saw a man, around 30-35 years calling me. He had a pregnant wife who was allotted berth in a different place in that coach. He asked me if i could switch there as he wanted to make sure that he always keeps his beloved wife in his vision. Happy couple :). With their berth too being a lower one i gleefully accepted it. That man took me to their berth and asked me to come. The moment i entered there, a overgrown (trust me, he was way bigger than me) ;) asked.. sorry ordered me to sleep in middle berth, as his father, an aged person couldn't climb up the berth. Poor hari, i never had the chance to even see that lower berth :( I thought it would be unfair to say no in that situation. Me being a good boy :) (i can sense that you are going mad reading this statement, but free ), accepted for it.

Kai ku etinadu vaaiku etama poche :(
It didn't take much longer for me to rue the adjustment i made being a good boy. There were around 15 people, all from the same family traveling in that portion of the compartment. And believe me, each person's voice in that family was way more than mine, my dad's and my mom's voice put together. God i never felt so irritated by noise like that day. Even hostel noise seemed to be way better compared to them.
My dad used to yell me for adjusting without any hesitation. But i used to counter him saying that "its a human responsibility to help others" blah blah blah.. But i must admit after this Sunday's incident. Dad, You were hundred percent right :(. Enna Koduma sir!!!

Welcome Friends!!

Am a cricket fanatic. There is a popular philosophy for motivating people that is related to cricket. "Even for hitting a century, one must start from 0". Now, I feel that its time that we modify that philosophy. Because, it has been shown in the cricketing world already that centuries are no matter a herculean thing. Everyone seems to be scoring a century as though they are playing in some PlayStation or PC. So, i being a bowler myself, would like to put it as "even for taking 10 wickets in an innings, u need to start from 1". Some people may think after reading this and mock me sarcastically saying, "Wow! how genius you are hari!" :P. And i myself know how worst is the improvement i made to that proverb. Let it free people :). After all we all are "Nanbean da!". But whats wrong in trying, right? So i decided to start of with this little thing to keep improving my blogging experience, voice out my opinions and bring out my thoughts to the people who are going to read this page. I hope that you people read the things i write in this,( though some may feel its total crap ;) ) and give me your feedback so that i can improve myself and my writing, and for the more bigger cause, that i stop killing "English" language. Welcome to my Blog friends !! :)

Wrong approach towards education!!

One of the biggest box office hit of the previous year was “3 Idiots”. In a scenario where all the actors are looking to give hits and achieve the numero one spot in the industry, one man, Aamir khan took up the initiative to establish the same as well as providing the country with one of the most important message. The main theme of the movie was to make the educational institutions realize the fact that mere marks doesn’t achieve the goal of education, and encouragement must be provided to inventions and to ensure that creativity must be encouraged. But the masses took in just the humorous dialogues of the movie, and not the all important and valuable theme.

Right from the very young age, a student is compelled by his/her parents, school, and college to achieve very good marks. The mistake by all these three is that they fail to encourage creativity. So the student develops a mindset that just mugging the thing given in the book and reproducing it in the examination is the goal of education, this approach leads to the complete lack of creativity in the student. This approach does not allow for a healthy future. After few days, the student doesn’t seem to have any knowledge about the concepts that was learnt.

The industries and IT companies which visit colleges for campus interviews, pick a huge number of students. Even in that selection process, very little opportunity is given to creativity. For example, the criterion for attending an interview is set as a minimum amount of grade point or some percentage. Rather, the criterion for attending the same can be set as “the student must have achieved something creative or must have completed some reputed project other than the usual projects which students undergo in their final sem”.
The usual rounds in a campus interview are Aptitude, GD and personal Interview. An important requirement for a professional is creativity rather than GK. Anyone for example a student who is relatively low in talent but strong in voicing his ideas may get placed, whereas the deserving one, the talented and creative one might lose a chance of getting placed due to a minor error in his apti rounds. I feel that encouragement must be given to creative thinking right from the schools. Students must be motivated to think on their own and invent new ideas instead of concentrating on mugging and scoring high GPA’s.
